About Phyllis

Phyllis Good’s commitment is to make it possible for everyone to cook who would like to, even if they have too little time or too little confidence.
She is a New York Times bestselling author whose cookbooks have sold more than 14,000,000 copies.
Her cookbooks are beloved for their outstandingly flavorful recipes which are easy to follow and quick to prepare.
Phyllis is the originator of the phenomenal Fix-It and Forget-It series. She is also author of the Stock the Crock cookbook and, most recently, of the beautiful, versatile 5-Ingredient Natural Recipes.
She has authored dozens of cookbooks, among them Fix-It and Enjoy-It Healthy Cookbook (with nutritional expertise from Mayo Clinic), The Best of Amish Cooking, and “Fresh from Central Market” Cookbook.

I love empowering people to prepare food for those they love.

Doing my thing on a national TV cooking show/demo, taped in Hollywood.
Phyllis has appeared on numerous TV and radio shows. She has been a guest on QVC dozens of times, often appearing on “In the Kitchen with David.” The New York Times published a front-page feature on Phyllis, and USA Today ran a big story on Phyllis and her cookbook success.
She loves to empower those who are short on time and short on confidence in the kitchen, so they can “prepare delicious food for those who gather around their tables.”
Phyllis has resisted becoming a celebrity. She prefers being a teacher and an encourager. “I’m not a celebrity,” she says. “The cookbooks are the celebrities.”
She earned an M.A. in English from New York University and has worked for years as a book editor. “I love connecting writers and readers,” she says. She enjoys writing, editing, and cooking new recipes. She and her husband, Merle, are the parents of two adult daughters and delight in their two grandsons.
